Corona Virus Protection

By Greg Samples

Whether we continue the draconian methods to "flatten the curve" or not, it is inevitable that you will eventually come in contact with the virus that causes COVID19 in the environment. Therefore your best line of defense is to make your internal environment as inhospitable as possible. Terrain theory is the theory of disease proposed by Antoine Bechamp that a diseased body, the "terrain", will attract germs to come as scavengers of the weakened or poorly defended tissue. Bechamp believed that the pH of the body is important, and that an acidic pH will attract germs and an alkaline pH will repel them. This theory was replaced by modern medicine with the advocacy of germ theory introduced by Pasteur. This has been most unfortunate, as terrain theory is correct. Concentrating on germs instead of the body is like trying to push the tide away from the beach with a shovel.

Mucus forming foods provide an environment that is sublime for the proliferation of bacteria and viruses. Dairy products and flour products, especially refined flour, are the two most mucus forming foods, and they create a lush breeding ground for bacteria. Add to this the depletion of alkaline minerals caused by the consumption of refined sugar and the environment is perfect for infection to occur.

The natural oxidation of flour occurs within 4 to 14 days after grinding, but commercial bakers today add acidic compounds to speed up the process, because it makes the resulting dough more manageable and delectable. This acidic state when eaten affects the whole body, but especially the sinuses and bronchial areas. As noted above, viruses are pH sensitive, and this increased acidity makes the area more hospitable to virus proliferation when we encounter them in the environment, which is inevitable. When they proliferate in the sinuses, the immune system produces histamine, which produces mucus to put up a first line of defense against the invader. If we then take an anti-histamine because of the discomfort we are feeling, we actually remove the immune system’s first line of defense. Grains in their whole, unprocessed form, such as brown rice, millet, or barley, are not mucus forming. Partially processed grains, such as rolled oats, are partially mucous forming.

Dairy products have the same mucus forming effect, creating an acidic condition in the sinuses and respiratory system that is optimal for virus proliferation. Refined sugar is acid forming in the body, and in addition depletes the body of alkaline minerals, which are essential for strong immune function.
