The power of the Jury
There are 5 vetoes available as a bulwark against bad law. The Representative, the Senator, the President, the Judiciary, and finally, as a last resort, the people in the form of a jury (both grand jury and trial jury). Making people aware of their power as a juror may be the most important step in the challenge of restoring American to a land of liberty. Unintended Consequences
In 1913 Congress UNconstitutionally delegated it's power to coin money to the nongovernment entity called the Federal Reserve. That sewed the seeds of the current financial crisis. One of congress' responses has been to place regulations on the high fees paid to the banks. One bank's response to the new laws? How about a 79 percent interest rate?
